The department of energy now says it will not enforce the Energy Standard Rule for 80% furnaces on May1, 2013. The rule remains on the books though and will be changed but will not go away.
EPA Further tightens the R-22 supply.
They have accelerated the phase out which will translate to higher prices and we may see it harder to find.
Regional Standards are not settled. My last post described the new regulations that required 90% furnaces in Missouri and north of here. A lawsuit has postponed that deadline and the EPA went back to rule making meetings. It isn't going away completely but it will be postponed.
